Five people arrested after an alleged fight in Kingston town centre on Tuesday, April 15, have had the charges against them lowered.

All five now face charges of affray, punishable by a maximum sentence of three years if found guilty, instead of violent disorder, which would have seen a five year maximum prison sentence.

Shoppers watched part of the alleged fight between Barcadia and Headmasters in Clarence Street.

Natalia Connelly, 34, of East Road, Kingston; Jerome Crooks, 23, of Thornton Heath; Craig Jones, 24, Scott Mills-Jones, 26, both of Chelsea Close, Hampton Hill, and Jason Mayo, 29, of Fielding Avenue, Twickenham, will appear in Kingston Crown Court on May 15 to enter a plea.
