After a week of gloom, the launch of the Surbiton Food Festival saw sunny skies at the weekend.
Families hunted for butterflies and relaxed in the orchard at Knollmead on Saturday, while the denizens of Seething spent Sunday celebrating the town’s sardine-based fictional history.
Colourful yarn bombs, placed strategically by biscuit-fuelled volunteers early on Saturday, reminded residents to get involved.
This weekend peckish passers-by can stop in at St Andrew’s Square for the showcase village fete, including games, music, and the obligatory beer tent.
