Surbiton will wake up a little brighter this morning, on the first day of this year's Surbiton Food Festival.
Volunteers hit the streets at 6am today to 'yarn bomb' the town, reminding snack lovers of what is on offer.

Families and big kids can enjoy picnics, music and pond-dipping at Knollmead this afternoon, while tomorrow will see a celebration of Surbiton's sardine-related fictional history at Claremont Gardens.
The festival runs until Sunday, May 18.
