Renowned Celtic band the Outside Track will bring their rich blend of traditional and contemporary Celtic folk music and dance to the Ram Club in Thames Ditton.

Members of the Outside Track hail from Scotland, Ireland and Cape Breton, bringing a mix of instrumental capabilities and influences reflected in their multi-instrumental sound.

They have been nominated for many awards, including the 2013 MG Alba Scots Traditional Music Awards, and have won best group in both the Live Ireland and the Tradition in Review awards.

Their latest album, Flash Company, won them the German Radio Critics Prize for 2014.

Aoife Scott, of the famed Black Family Celtic music ensemble, joined the Outside Track in July 2013.

The band also features Ailie Robertson on harp, Mairi Rankin on fiddle and vocals, Fiona Black on accordion, and Cillian O’Dalaigh on guitar and vocals.

Rankin and O’Dalaigh also perform stepdance as part of the band’s shows.

The five-piece will tour through Germany, Britain and Canada in the spring before kicking off a string of appearances at summer festivals, including the Festival Des Traversees Tatihou in France and the Tonder Festival in Denmark.

After the summer festival schedule, the band will return to perform several dates in Scotland throughout September.
