Air pollution could be responsible for as many as 68 deaths a year in Kingston, according to Public Health England.
A new report estimates 6.7% of deaths in the borough from those aged over 25 could be caused by a combination of nitrogen-dioxide, sulphur-dioxide and other air-pollutants.
Mortality figures and average pollution levels were used to estimate the number of deaths from air pollution, by the agency of the Department of Health.
In London there were 3,389 deaths attributed to air pollution in 2010, with 77 in Richmond and 99 in Hounslow.
