The mayoress of Kingston is getting ready to walk the circumference of the borough in a single day for her sister’s mayoral charities.
Hilary Saw, sibling of borough mayor Penny Shelton, will cover approximately 27 miles when she takes a ramble along the borough borders on Wednesday, April 2.
She will be raising money for Coun Shelton’s two charities, the Alzheimer’s Society and Princess Alice Hospice.
Ms Saw said: “I am doing regular training sessions to build up my stamina and to prepare for the challenge of walking 27 miles in a day.
“I’ve had tremendous support and am looking forward to completing a circuit right around the borough for such a good cause.”
