Lead thief pleads guilty to Tolworth Girls' School roof raid

A man has admitted stealing lead from the roof of a Tolworth school this week.

Carl Richardson, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with stealing an unknown quantity of roofing lead from Tolworth Girls' School in Fullers Way North on Monday, February 17.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty.

He was remanded in custody, and will be sentenced at Kingston Crown Court at a later date.
