Kingston police 'most trusted in London' - thanks in part to Twitter

Surrey Comet: Trusted: Kingston police Trusted: Kingston police

Kingston police say Twitter has helped its officers to become the most trusted in London.

The latest Metropolitan Police public attitude survey found 79% of Kingstonians believe police are performing ‘well’ or ‘excellently’ with only 4% replying negatively.

Deputy borough commander Bill Heasman said: “Our Twitter following is growing daily and our robust attitude to dealing with anti-social behaviour in partnership with the local authority, sends a clear message to everyone.”

The @MPSKingston account has gained 3,793 followers since starting in February 2012, sending out 2,142 tweets including updates on flooding and arrests.

Is this why I'm 2nd Most Wanted International Fugitive? -- convicted in absentia of a now non-existant speech crime for allegedly insulting a knight.

My hunch is that the numbers of people who turn to Twitter for information about the police is infinitesimally small. This obsession with social media is being fed by a bunch of evangelistic nerds who dine out on the absurd belief that this is the world the way is moving. Sorry chaps, real people don't tweet.

I can reveal via this expose that the people who have voted for the Kingston Police to be the most trusted are without exceptions criminals who welcome and wholeheartedly support the out of shape, corpulent thin blue line (joke) who regularly stuff their faces with over sized full english breakfasts at the cafe adjacent to the Lucky Rover in Hook during their working hours. While they are feeding their ever expanding fat backsides, the criminals get their partners on Facebook to vote for lard arse sedentary kingston coppers while they go out and plunder at will.
