A pensioner died after falling out of a moving vehicle in Worcester Park this morning.

Paramedics were called to Manor Drive at about 11.30am today but the 83-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A London Ambulance spokeswoman said: "Extensive efforts were made to resuscitate him but sadly he died at the scene."

A Kingston police spokesman said: "At this stage it is thought that the man fell onto the pavement from a slow moving vehicle.

"He was not struck by any other vehicles. Enquiries are ongoing."

No arrests have been made.

Police were originally called to reports of an accident by London Ambulance just before midday at the Manor Drive junction with Maldon Road.

The road remains closed.
