Ever thought you could make it on the stage as an actor?

Then why not have a crack in this year’s One Acts season at the Cornerhouse in Tolworth.

The annual showcase for original one act plays by writers from the borough is looking for performers to take part in the 2014 programme.

Whether you are an experienced actor or a complete novice, organisers are keen to see as many people as possible try out for a role.

One Acts chairman Jon Constant said: “The annual festival of one act plays features short pieces by talented local writers – some serious, some funny, some both.

Surrey Comet:

The Cornerhouse One Acts season opens on May 12

“The plays are only 15 to 30 minutes long, which means that it’s a great opportunity to be involved in a show without a heavy time commitment, but you will still be able to enjoy the buzz of being part of a large, dynamic team of playwrights, directors, actors and crew, all working towards providing a week-long feast of original, quality-driven entertainment.”

Now in its 10th year, the One Acts 2014 season opens on May 12.

Open auditions are being held next week at the theatre itself in Douglas Road.

You must be at least 16 years old to audition.

One Acts open auditions, Cornehouse, Douglas Road, Tolworth, Tuesday February 11 at 7.30pm and Sunday, February 16 at 2pm.
