A man has been taken to hospital after colliding with a car at a pedestrian crossing in Kingston.
The accident happened at about 5.30 in heavy rain in Hawks Road.
An London Ambulance spokesman said: “We were called just before 5.30pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Hawks Road in Kingston.
“The patient was a man, believed to be 31-years-old.
"He was conscious but had a head injury and was suffering from leg pain.
"He was treated and stabilised at the scene before being taken as a priority to St George's Hospital.”
Police said the road was closed while paramedics tended to the patient, but has since reopened.
