Volunteers gave almost 1,000 hours of their time to Kingstonfirst this year and are being thanked for their efforts, writes Charlotte Tobitt.

Their jobs include rangers, ambassadors and administrators for the business improvement team.

Ros Morgan, chief executive of Kingstonfirst, said: “It is always good to be able to show our volunteers how important they are to us and the town centre.

“I want to thank them again for all of their hard work this year and look forward to working with them all in 2014.”

A celebration will be held tomorrow to recognise the volunteers.
