Well the milestones seem to be coming thick and fast, and this week both children had their moment.

Mini me had her first roll and was very pleased with herself. Admittedly it came about so she could get a better angle watching Baby TV, but it was executed with grace and style and Mummy was very proud.

She’s coming up to six months and I’m shocked at how the time has flown by.

I wanted to find some pictures of my son when he was that age, but the annoying thing about digital cameras is that you never get the pictures developed, so I had to do an extensive search through my computer to discover the snapshots.

One thing’s for sure, they both love their milk.

My boy is a joy to have around and his vocabulary extends every day.

And this week he started using the word “no”, not in a naughty way just yet, but when we play hide and seek. It’s so funny.

He’ll go off and find a discreet place to perch and when Michael or I go to find him, he’ll let us know if we are in the right place.

“Is Elijah hiding in the wardrobe?” “No!” This completely defeats the object of the game, but it’s just so adorable.

And not wanting to be left out, Michael and I had our first proper night out together since having both children.

Yes, it’s been a while and I did wonder if we still had the ability to have fun.

We bathed and put the little ones to bed as we usually do, then hotfooted it up town, leaving my sister to hold the fort.

I can conclude we had a great time and should really get out more. So it’s been an eventful week all round, just the way I like it.
