Stunning views of Kingston, a home cinema, a gym, and more could be yours if you snap up a planned top-floor apartment.

The six-bedroom flat is planned for the old Gala Bingo hall in Richmond Road as part of developer CNM Estates’ overhaul.

The flat even includes a staff bedroom and space for a grand piano, while the master bedroom has its own dressing room.

The luxury layout is detailed in a planning application submitted to Kingston Council.

CNM’s plans for the building include:

• Car and bike parking in the basement
• Restaurant and children’s play area on ground floor
• Cinema and office space on first floor
• More cinema and office space on third floor
• Residential and serviced apartments on fourth and fifth floors

A report prepared by Indigo Planning said the scheme had been discussed with English Heritage, residents and businesses, and interest groups like the Cinema Trust Association.

Indigo’s report added: “A mixed use approach to redevelopment proposals offers the best way of securing the site’s future and, importantly, is required to guard against the continued physical deterioration of the building.

“A mixed use approach offers an economically viable reuse of the building.

“It will make a positive contribution to Kingston town centre and ensure the future conservation of this designated heritage asset.”

Residents have until Friday, January 3, to tell the council what they think about the plans.
