Flames: the Mercedes C-Class caught fire on the A3
A driver whose car burst into flames on the A3 yesterday had owned it for only a matter of weeks.
The Mercedes C-Class’s engine compartment caught fire before the driver turned onto Tolworth Rise North, Surbiton firefighters said.
The flames spread to the rest of the car, at about 5.40pm, but the driver was not hurt, they added.
