Motorcylists hospitalised after Chessington crash
The extent of the injuries sustained by two bikers in a crash yesterday has been revealed.
The two young men, aged 20 and 22, were taken to hospital after the crash in Malden Rushett just before 5pm.
Police said this afternoon the 20-year-old was in stable condition, while the 22-year-old was in intensive care.
A third person, the driver of a Peugeot people carrier, was uninjured, police said.
Paramedics swarmed the junction of Leatherhead Road and Rushett Lane following an emergency call.
A London Ambulance spokeswoman said: “We sent two single responders, a duty officer, four ambulance crews and an air ambulance.
“Staff treated two patients, both males.
“The first was treated for facial, pelvis and leg injuries. The second was treated for leg injuries.
“Both were taken by ground ambulance to St George’s Hospital escorted by medics from the air ambulance.”
