Burglars caught moments after a break-in face jail sentences
Three burglars face prison sentences after they were caught shortly after burgling a New Malden home and escaping with £50,000 worth of jewellery.
John Ballingall, 28, Dean Jackson, 25, and Daniel O’Brien, 27, were caught after a police chase through quiet residential streets in New Malden.
A Tom Tom satellite navigation system, video camera and digital camera as well as £1,200 in cash and house keys were also stolen during the burglary.
Stuart Holman, 25, from Hayes, and Edmundas Danielkus, 20, from Hayes, denied burglary and were acquitted after a judge at Kingston Crown Court on Thursday, October 10, ruled there was no case for them to answer.
Ballingall, of Hayes, Jackson, also of Hayes, and O'Brien, of Uxbridge, will be sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on November 4.
Burglary is one of Kingston police's top targets with residents told to call 999 if they suspect there is a break-in happening.
