The disappearance of an “affectionate and gentle” family pet has left his young owners distraught, writes Robert Potter.
Six-year-old family cat Charlie went missing from his home in Elmcroft Drive, Chessington, on Saturday, October 5.
Owner Amanda Pearce said her children Emily, 9, Arthur, 7, and Howard, 5, have been left devastated by their pet’s absence.
She said: “They have had some really tearful nights.
“He is like a family member and he has grown up with the children.
“He is the most affectionate and gentle cat and he loves attention.”
Charlie was popular with passers-by and often received attention when he sat in front of his home, Mrs Pearce said.
She asked residents to check their sheds and dark corners of their gardens.
Charlie is micro chipped and anyone who sees him should ring 07771 954 611.
