Former luxury car thief fined £30 for damaging Kingston station
A former New Malden car thief has been fined for carrying out criminal damage in Kingston station.
Oliver Pendry, 22, of Acacia Grove, committed the offence on March 14 this year.
He pleaded guilty and was fined £30 and ordered to pay £20 in victim surcharge costs when he appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ court on Tuesday, September 17.
An assault charge on another man in Kingston station, was dropped.
In July 2011, Pendry was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for handling a stolen Mercedes worth £70,000 and a seperate incident of a drunken affray on a train from New Malden.
He was one of nine men convicted for their involvement in luxury car thefts which involved fishing car keys through letterboxes around Surrey and Kingston before speeding away in BMWs and Jaguars.
