Mum's the Word with Angellica Bell: 'Having another baby shouldn't be ruled out'
Another action-packed week for me. I went to a wonderful wedding without the family and felt like I’d lost a limb.
I came to the conclusion my party days are well and truly over.
I took my son to the barbers’ and he looks so cool with his sharp, short back and sides.
I came to the conclusion that I have to accept that one day he’ll fly the nest and leave his mum.
And I also had the privilege to be asked to open the new birthing pool in the labour ward at Kingston Hospital.
I came to the conclusion that having another baby shouldn’t be ruled out completely.
Well let’s just say it made me broody again. As I walked to the hospital it brought back memories.
The ante-natal appointments, the familiar faces, having your notes with you at all times and even seeing the room where I coincidentally gave birth to both my precious children (it looked completely different without having contractions).
I guess it made me feel a little sad and nostalgic that I wouldn’t be able to experience it all again. That’s it. I’ve done it.
It was wonderful to chat to the midwives and staff and I even had the chief executive of the hospital make me a cup of tea, and very nice it was.
The cutting of the ribbon, pictured, was nearly marred by me falling into the said birthing pool and when I was asked on the spot to say a few words, was overcome with emotion.
All the people watching me had played a part in the most memorable experience of my life and I can’t thank them enough.
