Vandalism spree by Ham man sees 16 cars damaged in one day in Kingston
A man who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to cars parked along Kingston roads has been ordered to pay compensation to his victims.
Daniele Covington Shackleford, 20, of Bainbridge Close in Ham, went on a vandalism spree in Latchmere Lane and Latchmere Road on a single day on August 1, this year.
He appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 10 and admitted 16 counts of criminal damage to cars including Volvos, Peugeots and Polos worth a total of £3454.05.
He was given a £1,100 fine and ordered to pay compensation of £1,200.
The damage he caused:
- Peugeot 307 - £450 worth of damage
- Skoda Yeti - £705.12
- Citreon Berlingo - £300
- Volvo - £643.68
- VW Polo - £150
- Vauxhall Meriva - £100
- BMW 525 - £126.78
- Volvo XC70 - £70
- BMW X1 - £70
- Mini Cooper, BMW 525 + Renault Clio - £180
- Renault Scenic - £324.23
- Fiat Punto + VW Passat - £134.24
- VW Golf - £200
