Liam Gallagher will be heading to Kingston next month, as Beady Eye come to town for an intimate gig ahead of the release of their new album.

The ex-Oasis frontman will be at McClusky's on Friday, June 7, as the band celebrate the release of second album, Be, which goes on sale the following Monday, June 10.

The gig has been organised by long time McClusky's collaborators Banquet Records, which hosts its weekly New Slang night every Thursday at the Thames Street venue.

Banquet manager Jon Tolley said: "We’re very happy to announce Beady Eye are coming to Kingston for an album release show on the eve of the second album “Be”.

"The Liam Gallagher-fronted band plays what’s sure to be a memorable intimiate stripped down gig on Friday, June 7, at the home of our regular indie club night New Slang - McClusky’s.

"This is a one-off event on the Friday before the album is released and will be the first time a lot of these songs are played live."

Beady Eye formed in the wake of Oasis' acrimonious split in 2009, when Noel Gallagher, Liam's older brother, walked out on the band.

The remaining band members - Gallagher, drummer Chris Sharrock, guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell - stayed together as Beady Eye, and were joined by former Kasabian guitarist Jay Mehler.

They released their debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding, in 2011.

Tickets for Beady Eye at McClusky's on Friday June 7 cost £10 and include a copy of the new album. are on sale now.
