Fundraising enthusiasts of all ages are being encouraged to put on their walking boots and re-enact a historic journey made by thousands from London to Epsom Downs.

The Derby Walk, to be held on May 19, will see a crowd of walkers re-enacting the journey made by Londoners in days-gone-by, as they travelled though London and the suburbs to Epsom Racecourse to attend the world's most famous horse racing event.

The charity walk will start at Knightsbridge and head to Epsom Downs racecourse via Elephant and Castle.

A launch party, providing more information about the walk, is taking place on April 27 at The Vestry in Church Street, Epsom.

There will be live entertainment, an auction and a raffle, and the money raised will go towards The Children’s Trust, in Tadworth.
