A3 travel chaos after man jumps from bridge at Esher Common AND car crash

Motorists are being urged to avoid the A3 after a man jumped from a bridge on to the road.
It is reported that the man who jumped from the bridge at Esher Common at about 10am - prompting the closing of the northbound section of the road.
Also at Esher, there has been a multi-vehicle accident going southbound.
The Highways Agency said that both incidents on the A3 are police-led investigations.
A spokesman has confirmed that both the northbound and southbound carriages of the A3 between the A244 and A309 are fully closed.
They were unable to give any further details due to the nature of the incidents and said they did not know when the carriageways would reopen.
