Chessington archery club hits target with disability grant
An archery club has added a new string to its bow after landing a grant to help get more disabled people involved.
Chessington Bowmen, based at Kingston Rugby Club in Hook Road, has been handed £750 from Kingston Council’s South of the Borough Neighbourhood Committee, to buy a Compound Bow suitable for wheelchair users.
Councillor Rachel Reid, neighbourhood committee chair, said: "Many disabled people have been inspired by the London 2012 Paralympic Games to take up sport and I hope that our contribution will help more people to enjoy archery."
