A mole sets out to pull down the moon from the sky in a children's play coming to Epsom.

Other Epsom Playhouse productions over Easter feature a story-telling fish and CBeebies star Sid.

Bringing Down the Moon follows the story of a mole who burrows out of the ground and is struck by the moon's beauty.

The mole decides he wants to play with the moon but finds out that some things are not as easy as they seem or as close as they look.

The heart-warming tale with catchy songs will be performed at Epsom Playhouse on Wednesday, March 27, at 2.30pm.

Next up is award-winning Scamp Theatre which is putting on Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales on Tuesday, April 2, at 2.30pm.

The tales are woven together with live music, puppets and colourful characters from bestselling books by the creators of the Gruffalos.

The play is adapted from titles, including Tiddler, Monkey Puzzle and the Smartest Giant in Town, by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

Then on Friday, April 5, CBeebies star Sid will be appearing on stage in a fun-filled adventure perfect for families with children aged three to seven.

Sid will be setting out on a heroic quest to find out where his favourite socks and shoes have gone in the show starting at 2.30pm.
