Kingston’s canines are putting their best paw forward as the UK’s largest dog show rolls into its second day.

There were 10 entrants from the borough at Crufts this year, which attracted over 25,000 dogs from across the world.

Gillian and Keith Murray from Leatherhead Road, Chessington, have entered their field spaniel Harvey for the third year running.

Mrs Murray said: “He is very happy to see people all the time. He is our pride and joy. He is very loveable and he is our baby.”

Three-and-a-half-year-old Harvey won a challenge award last year. He was the best dog in his breed at the championships in Windsor and won second place in Birmingham. He will be competing on Saturday.

Joining him are another dog from Chessington, two from Kingston, three from Surbiton, and three from New Malden.
