A man has been taken to hospital after being pulled out of the Thames this afternoon.

The man in his 50s had suffered a heart attack, a London Ambulance spokeswoman said.

The ambulance service was called at 2.55pm to reports of a person in the river.

The man was taken to Kingston Hospital as a priority.

A police helicopter, marine support and London Ambulance all attended the scene by Kingston Bridge at around 3pm today.
