Motorist cut from car following crash in Surbiton
A man has been injured following a crash involving three cars in Surbiton this afternoon.
The accident happened at 1.40pm on Upper Brighton Road, close to the mini roundabout joining Langley Road, Langley Avenue and Kingsdown Road.
A silver Renault Clio and a red Smart car were both involved.
It is believed the crash happened at a set of temporary traffic lights, which have been installed during building work on the new Royal Star & Garter residential home in Langley Avenue.
One driver, a man in his 30s, complained of neck injuries, and had to be cut from his car by firefighters as a precaution before being taken to hospital.
A woman involved in the crash sustained whiplash injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
The road is partially closed as the vehicles are recovered and is expected to reopen soon.
