Mum's the Word with Angellica Bell: A new bundle of joy
I’m writing my column on St Valentine’s Day, which is quite appropriate as it was announced last week on The One Show that I’m expecting another bundle of joy!
Yes, the Underwood family is growing (me in particular) and there’ll be a brother or sister for my son in no time at all.
In essence there’ll be a lot more motherly love that’ll need to be shared around.
It only seems like yesterday I was going through my first pregnancy and I have to say all the symptoms have been the same this time around, apart from the fact I have a toddler to run around after.
The baby kicking has started keeping me up at night and the hunger pangs are kicking in too. Uh oh!
Thank you all for your kind words and congratulations and for those who have reminded me two under twos isn’t an easy job and tough times lies ahead.
But come on, let’s not dwell on the negative; I’m hoping it will help me lose my pregnancy weight pronto.
However, I’m not deluded and know it will be hard work, but we also know how fortunate we are to be blessed with another child so soon.
On that note, I must thank a close friend of mine (not a maths genius), who pointed out it’ll be more like two under eighteen months.
It’s been great to see all the same kind faces at Kingston Hospital and catch up on what has happened since the arrival of Elijah.
It’s all very exciting and I have no idea if we’re ready for another one, but are you ever ready?
So here we go again. I’ll keep you updated. In the meantime though, I’m going to sit back and enjoy the roses my husband has bought me and also a raspberry Valentines cupcake. The baby needs it!
