£42,500 for struggling youngsters in Carshalton and Wallington

£42,500 will help primary school pupils in Carshalton and Wallington who did not reach the expected level in literacy and maths.
Schools have received £500 per pupil to help them through catch-up classes and individual tuition.
The MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Tom Brake, said: “Good numeracy and literacy skills are foundation for future learning. All kids deserve a fair chance to gain those crucial skills.
“No pupil should be left behind - schools need to provide a fair environment where all children can thrive.
“I hope that the money will help Year 7 pupils in Carshalton and Wallington reach their full potential.”
