Hundreds of cannabis plants have been seized following a tip-off about a house rented by two Korean men using fake identification.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the factory in Kelvedon Close, just off Tudor Drive in Kingston.

Officers removed 200 cannabis plants after neighbours informed them of their suspicions on January 6.

Inspector Ron Rogers, who heads the safer neighbourhood teams for the north of the borough, said: “This is yet another good instance where concerned residents have contacted us and we have been able to, literally, nip this crime in the bud.”

Anyone with information should contact Kingston police on 101.
