Jazzing up January
It’s time to jazz up your January with this year’s live dance extravaganza at the Rose. Guests can enjoy a unique chance to dance to live music with a new, international band of some of the most acclaimed jazz players hitting the Culture Cafe for the first time.
The Heads and Feet House Band features two award-winning musicians, including Tim Whitehead on sax, Winston Clifford on drums, Neville Malcolm on bass, and Jonathan Gee on piano. Whitehead’s CD, Colour Beginnings, was shortlisted for the 2010 composer awards. He was a member of the popular 80s jazz big band Loose Tubes.
Clifford has played with legends such as Courtney Pine and has had multiple TV appearances on BBC, ITV and on radio. JazzLiveDance; the Rose Culture Cafe, Rose Theatre, High Street, Kingston; January 25, 8.30pm; £8; call 08444 821556, or visit rosetheatrekingston.org.
