A woman escaped her overturned car with minor injuries when it came off the road and ended up in a ditch.

Surrey Police were called to Seven Hills Road, Walton Common, at 1.20am on Saturday, December 29.

The sole occupant of the blue Peugeot 107 was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene for shock-related injuries.

The driver was taken home and police tape was stuck on the vehicle to advise passersby that police were already aware of the vehicle, while recovery was arranged.

One wonders how someone could end-up in a ditch on what is a pretty straight road. How fortunate that no innocent third parties were involved?
