Now is your chance to apply to show off your talents during Kingston’s biggest youth arts festival taking place this summer.

About 5,000 young people came to Kingston last July to take part in last year’s International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) across 15 town centre venues displaying everything from open air theatre, comedy, dance, poetry, film, circus skills, music, painting, acrobatics and all-round fun.

Pubs, galleries, churches and Kingston museum were all used as venues as well as parks, the Market Place and a car park.

Artists also took over the Rose Theatre’s main stage performing to the likes of Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, a patron of the festival.

Organisers Creative Youth say they want to create the most jaw-dropping, eye-popping Kingston arts festival ever.

IYAF, July 6 to 28, 2013. Applicants have to be between five and 26 years old. No fee. Visit iyafestival.org.uk to see a video of last year’s events and apply to take part this year, deadline January 31.
