Police scramble helicopter after Thames Ditton burglar escapes through window

Police scrambled a helicopter above Thames Ditton this morning to search for a burglary suspect.
Surrey Police was called to reports of a burglary in Greenwood Road at about 11.20am where a man had escaped from a window.
The suspect was described as white, with brown curly hair, wearing a black baseball cap and possibly dressed in a black tracksuit.
Officers, including the dog unit, searched the area, with the helicopter circling above Hinchley Wood at one point, but could not find the suspect.
