Can someone please let me know where the time flies off to?

It is ridiculous. I know I’ve said it before, but trust me when I say I will be repeating it again at some point.

No longer do I have a baby, but instead he has transformed into a little man within one flipping week.

So we now have nine teeth, yes a molar has appeared out the back.

It only caused him a little pain and a night of unsettled sleep but he took it all in his stride.

Speaking of which, last Sunday, with the aid of his walker, he took his first little steps for mankind.

It was the most amazing moment (those who do not yet have children may think I am exaggerating, but wait until you get to enjoy that moment yourselves).

The look of pride on our faces was nothing compared with his beaming smile and his need for reassurance from both of his parents. Simply too cute.

With this new found confidence came the ability to pull himself up, whether it be using the sofa, the bed, the chaise longue or chair, he was propping himself up simply fascinated to see the world from a new perspective.

With that came the decision – yes the decision – we could never have envisaged all those months ago when we first assembled his new bed – we lowered his cot.

It has been a lot to take in.

As well as all the babbling conversations we have together and new oooooo and ahhhhhh sounds he is producing, he is growing up to be a fabulous little man.

Although I may have to have a word because he has already managed to get his teeth into my headphones and started tucking into my dinners.

I guess it is an insight of what lies ahead.
