Counsellors have been sent into Graveney School after a 13-year-old girl died in what has been described as a tragic accident at home.

It is not yet known how year nine pupil Tallulah Brown died. Wandsworth Council said it would await the findings of an inquest.

"Tallulah had a tremendous sense of humour so it is no surprise to see that she made many friends as soon as she started at Graveney."

Graham Stapleton

Tallulah was doing well at school and was well liked for her warm personality.

In her last school report, her head of year wrote: "It is a pleasure to have you in my year, Tallulah. You are a credit to your family."

Headteacher of Graveney School, Graham Stapleton, said: "Tallulah had a tremendous sense of humour so it is no surprise to see that she made many friends as soon as she started at Graveney.

"Everyone who knew her was aware of her determination, and we all expected her to be a huge success in whatever field she chose to devote her energies. She was a highly valued member of her form and was admired by staff and her peers alike for her charm and the great academic progress she made within a short time.

"She was always positive and a great asset to her form, the year and the school."

The council has sent professionals into the school to help students cope with their loss.

It was shocking and very sad to learn of the sudden and tragic death of Tallulah. My daughter is in her class in year 8. She will obviously be missed very much. Graveney students have all been supporting each other in their grief. Its hard to imagine losing a child at such a young age who had such a bright future ahead of her. My heartfelt and sincere sympathies go out to her family and friends in what must be an extremely difficult time.

Tallulah was in the yr above me at Graveney.
When ever i used to see her, she was always smiling. She had a very pretty face and will be missed by everyone. Even if you didn't know her. R.I.P Tallulah Brown x
