Keep up to date with local news, sport and entertainment from Surrey Comet by using RSS feeds.

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. These feeds contain story headlines, links and descriptions and are updated as the website is updated.

Surrey Comet publishes a number of RSS feeds which are completely free. Viewing the content of the feeds is easy - here's how to get started:

  • Step one: Decide how you want to view your RSS feeds: you can add them to your Google, Yahoo or MSN homepage; or add them straight to your web browser or desktop. You may need to download a feed reader, although some browsers, like Firefox and Safari, already have an RSS reader built in. Other browsers and e-mail programmes will soon have built in readers too.

  • Step two: Click on Surrey Comet RSS feed of your choice using the orange logo next to the channel header. Either follow the instructions on your web browser to subscribe to the feed, or copy the address from your browser window. Use this address to view the feed using your chosen reader. Repeat until you have all of the feeds you need.
  • Step three: Your RSS feed reader should now automatically update with your chosen feed from Surrey Comet.
