The inspiring true story of a shy woman from the heart of the establishment who became one of the bravest icons of the suffragette movement and a criminal in the eyes of the law is heading to the stage in Croydon,
Ros Connelly’s Lady Connie and the Suffragettes stars Emma Spearing as forgotten heroine Constance Lytton, the daughter of the Viceroy of India and a sister of a peer in the House of Lords, who became a militant campaigner who risked her own life to bring attention to the atrocities committed behind closed prison doors.
Lady Connie and the Suffragettes is at Fairfield Halls’ Studio at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, February 27. Tickets cost £13.50 and £11.50 concessions. Call 020 8688 9291 or go to Fairfield.co.uk
