Aspiring young actors are being invited to perform in one of Shakespeare’s greatest works.
Theatre education company Pull The Other will be running a five-day workshop on King Lear at Epsom Playhouse, for children aged nine to 15.
The course will also feature work-in-progress performance for family and friends.
Pull the Other produces a series of theatre and literature programmes for young people in Surrey and south London.
Pull The Other produces theatre and literature programmes for young people
It was launched in Epsom in 2012 by Surrey-born actress Rachel Nussbaum.
Nussbaum says: "We want to invest in young people’s exposure to important literary and practical theatre styles in a fun, inventive and professional environment.
"We focus on acting, directing and ensemble theatre-making, strengthening individual talent and promoting team work with self-confidence, creative expression and imagination.
"These classical texts are there for all to be enjoyed and played with."
