Rapper Speech Debelle is looking forward to a successful 2012.
The Mercury Music Prize winner, who hails from Crystal Palace, has already received glowing reviews for her second album, Freedom of Speech, which she describes as “a great British hip-hop album with a mix of live and electronic instruments”.
She is also gearing up for a headline gig at London’s Jazz Cafe on February 23 and plans to continue her work with various charity projects.
She said: “I am feeling very positive, I think it is the year of gain.”
Freedom of Speech will be released on Big Dada records in February.
