Classical singer Katherine Jenkins will lead a tribute to the Queen when she performs at Hampton Court Palace Festival this summer.

The Welsh mezzo-soprano has signed up for a show on June 23, where she will perform a set in honour of Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday.

Katherine, 35, will release her 11th studio album this year and also perform at the Queen’s birthday celebrations in May.

The performance in June will be the first time Katherine has return to the palace since her wedding in 2014.

She said: “Hampton Court Palace has always been a place close to my heart. Having got married there in 2014 as well as being a self-confessed Tudor geek, I'm over the moon to be performing at this truly special and Iconic venue. I know the setting for this concert is simply breathtaking and I will be singing my heart out to do it justice."

Katherine joins a bill for Hampton Court Festival which already includes Sir Tom Jones, ten-time Grammy winner George Benson, Van Morrison, Anastacia, Jools Holland and Caro Emerald between June 8 and 23.
