Children were all at sea when the Battle of Trafalgar was recreated – in a classical concert style.
Youngsters from junior schools across the borough were invited to take part in a West End-style musical theatre production at Fairfield Halls on Monday.
Billed as a participatory concert all the children were given word sheets so they could sing along as the action unfolded on stage and narrator David Leonard, playing Admiral Nelson, took them through the battle.
They also got involved by dressing up in seafaring style outfits for the day.
Music for the concert was performed by the London Mozart Players, conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton, and the dancers were from the Central School of Ballet.
