The finalists for the Wandsworth Young Performer competition have been unveiled.

This year’s line up features 11 talented singers, dancers, rappers and other musicians.

The annual competition, which is backed by the council, is open to teenagers between the ages of 14 and 19.

Finalists have been helped with their acts in recent weeks by arts professionals at Battersea Arts Centre (BAC) and World Heart Beat music Academy.

Now, before their final performance, they are being given support with their performances by event producer Bigga Fish.

Councillor Kathy Tracey, Wandsworth Council's children's services spokeswoman, said: "If previous years are anything to go by I have no doubt that everyone coming to watch the event will be wowed by the talent on stage - so grab a ticket while you can."

The event takes place at 5pm on Saturday, December 8, at the Civic Suite, Wandsworth High Street, SW18 2PU. Doors open at 4.30pm.

Tickets cost £4 in advance, or £5 on the door. To book call Bigga Fish on 020 7729 9944.
