The magic of a thousand strings will unite in a Christmas concert.

Epsom Playhouse will be welcoming the International Harp Ensemble, a group unique to the UK which was formed to provide professional training and to introduce the full range of harp music to the British public.

The Ensemble, of around 25 harpists, consists of dedicated youngsters and adults.  Its repertoire is rich in diversity, impeccably presented and performed to the highest standard.

The group recently released its new album The Magic of a Thousand Strings, which also stars special guest Faryl Smith who will be performing with the Ensemble on the night.

13-year-old Faryl was an ordinary schoolgirl before being told by Simon Cowell "You are literally one in a million" on Britain’s Got Talent.

All styles of music will be explored in the concert - from classical and Celtic to popular modern hits.

The sound of one harp is beautiful, but together the Ensemble is said to have an amazing depth and richness to its performances.
