People from Sutton are being sought to take part in a landmark new production at The Secombe.

New management recently took over Sutton Theatres and opera The Lost Field of Summer, which runs from October 14 to 31, is one of its big shows.

Written by Alisdair Middleton, whose work has been performed at venues such as The Young Vic, it is about Sutton residents in and affected by the Great War.

It gets its World premiere in Sutton and there’s a chance to join the cast.

On Sunday (September 6), there is a session for people to come along, learn one of the pieces and give it a go. All you need to do if you’re interested is drop an e-mail to casting@suttontheatres.com

The theatre is especially keen to hear from men and everyone involved needs to be over 18.

Artistic director Micha Colombo said: “Be part of something special - we need you! If you have a voice, we'll show you how to use it.”
