Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens this Saturday and two local celebrities will be strutting their stuff in hope of lifting the Glitterball trophy.
Balham’s celebrity chef Ainsley Harriot and Epsom’s news journalist-cum-Eggheads presenter Jeremy Vine are among the dozen household names competing.
Returning to the judging panel are the star of last year’s Dartford Orchard Theatre panto Craig Revel-Horwood and Len Goodman, who was raised in Bexley and lives in Greenhithe.
They will once again be joined by Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli.
The other contestants are presenter Anita Rani, boxer Anthony Ogogo, weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, singer Daniel O’Donnell, Corrie’s Georgia May Foote, actress Helen George, athlete Iwan Thomas, singer Jamelia, The Wanted star Jay McGuiness, newsreader Katie Derham, EastEnders’ Kellie Bright, sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher and Peter Andre.
On Saturday at 7.15pm, presenters Tess Daly and Claudi Winkleman will host a red carpet launch on BBC One for the 13th series, during which the celebs will find out who they’ll be paired with.
There will also be one final performance from last year’s reigning champions and 2014 winners, Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev.
