The original Pop Idol Will Young will be signing copies of his new album in Kingston later this month.
The Evergreen singer, who shot to fame when he defeated Gareth Gates in the first Pop Idol contest back in 2002, will be at Banquet Records in Eden Street on Wednesday, May 27.
Young has been out of the music spotlight recently while focusing on acting, and his appearance in the 2013 London revival of Cabaret won him a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for best actor in a musical.
He will be singing copies of his sixth studio album 85% Proof, in its week of release.
Banquet Records manager Jon Tolley said: "He [Young] is one of the finest pop starts of recent years and the fact he won a TV talent show all those years back is totally irrelevant - his musicianship surpasses all connotations of those types of TV programmes."
