Gamer queues for days to get new Call of Duty
A teenage gamer has gone beyond the Call of Duty to get his hands on a new release.
Sutton video game fan Taylor Pelling has been camping outside HMV in Oxford Street ahead of the launch of new game Call of Duty: Black Ops II at midnight on Monday.
The 19-year-old media student has secured his place at the front of the queue and has not left save for the occasional toilet break in the shop.
Staff at HMV have been looking after him by bringing him breakfast in the mornings to help him through his six days waiting in the cold - HMV and the game's publisher Activision think this is a record for a launch.
Mr Pelling said: "I've attended a few midnight events at HMV, most recently for Diablo III, when I was sixth in the queue, but this time I was determined to be first in line.
"I love Call of Duty and I know the launch is going to be pretty spectacular, so being at the front of the queue to buy it will make it an even more memorable experience for me."
A spokesman for HMV said: "People have been really impressed - he's a bit of a star. Loads of people have been helping him out bringing him food and things and I think he's loving it."
